November last year, we started to rent a house in Matola, (close to Maputo), not knowing what God had in mind for us, except for the desire in our hearts to work with children HIV+.

Since that time, God has blessed us enormously. Now, only half a year later, we have a ministry with 8 children with ages ranging from 7 months to 11 years. Two other children have gone to heaven already, but not before they at least experienced what it is to be loved and cared for.

Benedito, 11 years old, came to live with us in April,  First he was sick, and upset that he had to stay in hospital. He had a “witchcraft cord” around his foot, and was not very interested in Jesus. But he has changed! He is such a happy boy, and sits in church next to the pastor. He is fully alive.

With 8 children our house will be full… but God spoke not to limit His work, not to put “human walls” around our work, (Zach. 2: 1-5) and opened the doors already to buy a bigger house, so that in the future we can house 25 children.

We work with a team of mostly Mozambican pastors and educators, who have a heart for God and for the children. Denika (from the States) works with us also in the area of church planting and evangelism.

Please pray for us, the children, and for the new house. We need to renovate the house so that we can move in soon – and so that more children can come.
